it’s nice to meet you
Hi! I’m Deniane Kartchner (pronounced Denny-Ann), preservation photographer based out of historic Ogden, Utah. I’m part-documentarian, part-daydreamer, and my photography style reflects a combination of the real and ideal. I’m so glad you’re here!

“I guess you could say I’m a “time-travel photographer” – I love to bring history to life in luxurious color or turn back time through classic black-and-whites.”

My love for preserving heritage has taken me across the continental U.S. (and Alaska) as I’ve researched and documented my own family’s roots.
I grew up in the quiet pioneer town of Blanding, Utah, where I met and married my husband Lorin. We later moved our family to rough-and-tumble “Junction City” (Ogden, Utah) where we have now lived for 23 years. A passion for the past has led me to find connections across the country … and share them through photography.
